We meet at 7:00pm the second Thursday of the month at Rockler Woodworking.
Our next meeting is on:
1955 N. Tustin,
Orange, CA 92865 [Map]
Mentoring: 6:00 - 7:00pm
Be sure to come to the meeting one hour early and visit Larry Olson in our Mentor’s Corner. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you with solving any cutting issues you may be experiencing. He will be set up and ready for you by 6pm. Use this valuable resource to help you improve the quality of your cutting.
The Tustin Chili Cook-off was held Sunday June 2nd. Our new bright orange pop-up made our booth very visible. We had a great day and took in over $1,100.00 in sales! For the first time we ran out of wood before the end of the day.
Thanks to all who volunteered to help in the booth: Larry Olson, Chuck Collins, Barb Schmit, Jim Graham and Allan Carter spent the day sitting at the saws cutting names. Folks who helped with all the other tasks included Patrick Heilman, Jack van Wingerden, Devon Day, Gary Tennison, Don Borchardt, Suzanne Montz, Mike Morand, Dave Coulter and LaVaun Ward. Many other members stopped by during the day to support the event.
Our "Club" was formed in 2002 as a local chapter of the "Scrollsaw Association of the World". Our purpose is to promote, teach and share in the fun and fellowship of scroll sawing. Our club is open to all who have an interest in scroll sawing and at all skill levels from beginner to expert.
Our club also provides education, information, and organization to those interested in the skill of scroll sawing. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in scroll sawing.
As a member you will have an opportunity to learn and share the scroll saw experience with others at our monthly meetings and at special workshops held at various member's shops.
In addition we have speakers, videos and a pattern library. All levels of skill from beginners to expert are welcome.
